Risk Gate Summary

Risk Gate shows whether the current operation passes the enabled risk rules. The circuit breaker has a separate state that can remain latched after an attempted violation.

  • OK: the required checks pass.
  • Pending/Warning: required data is missing, insufficient, or not yet valid. Submission is prevented, but there is no confirmed violation and the circuit breaker does not latch for this result.
  • Violation / NOK: available data confirms that an enabled rule is breached. The operation is blocked.

Enabled numerical rules use the configured value as the limit, including zero. Only disabling a rule skips its evaluation. The circuit breaker switch controls latching; switching it off does not disable the other enabled risk rules.

When Circuit breaker (halt on violation) is enabled, it is armed. It enters a halted state only when you attempt an operation that violates a risk rule. The operation is blocked and trading remains halted until Reset.

Editing a value, moving the setup, recalculating, repainting the UI, or consulting Preflight or Risk Gate does not latch the breaker. Required data that is Pending/Warning does not latch it either. If the breaker is disabled, a confirmed violation still blocks the operation through the enabled rule, without latching the breaker.

For example, with the breaker enabled, a preview showing risk above the configured cap does not halt trading. Attempting that operation triggers the halt. A preview or attempt with missing required risk data prevents submission but does not confirm a violation or trigger the halt.

Use the existing status modal to review the reasons for a blocked or pending operation. Once halted, click Reset after reviewing and correcting the cause. Reset clears the latched state; it does not bypass active rules or supply missing data. Submission still requires the current checks to pass.
